Fortune Avenue's style and functionality are second to none. Once ready, the game can be played locally or via Steam. It can be played by 2 or 6 players. Two modes will be available from release: classic and ultra-fast. Classic mode takes the basic rules and adds some special features. For example, a wheel of fortune that allows you to take over your competitors' hotels. In addition, there's an airport that allows you, for a fee, to move around the board. You can also organize the World Cup on one of your properties to increase rents. An ice floe where it's best not to stay too long. In short, it's a whole new world that refreshes the game. The ultra-fast mode uses the classic rules, but changes the rents, the wages earned each turn and building acquisition costs. This means that games can be played in under 10 minutes.
All your interactions are physics-based. Shake the mouse to roll the dice, or the wheel of fortune. You're in control, and can recapture the sensations of physical play without having to tidy up at the end. Of course, if you like tidying up the box, picking up the pieces and sorting the money, there's nothing I can do for you in that case other than redirect you to a cozy game called "a little to the left".
